Signe Randolph Ferguson is an artist and architect trained at Yale University, where she received her Masters in Architecture, and Bachelor's at Brown University. Signe is currently running ½ of BASA  in Mexico City & London, exploring collaborations with collectives, artisan makers, and agricultural systems. She is specifically interested in the re-assembly of materials in urban and non urban site situ. Her practice is grounded in the idea of reassembly, material utopias, the environment, and in-between spaces. Signe’s independent research has explored memorial and memory, focusing on a self-created term called ‘climate metronomes’. She has created collectives, filmed documentaries, worked in construction, and conducted group performances, alongside architecture, set design, and land art. Influences range, but you can find direct relations between Land Art, Fluxus, Surrealist, Situationist, and Hydrofeminist movements and her work.
