one dark, footlike form stands on a coralina marble plinths within a dark, veined room. Their shapes draw on La Ciguapa, the Dominican figure whose backward feet make her path impossible to follow. The checked floor offers a clear perspective, but no certain direction: each form seems poised to move, and each might leave a trace that points away from where it went. Through cut stone and shifting scale, the panel turns a familiar room into a place where folklore can quietly unsettle what we think we see.
