Razor House

Chalwell House, or Razor House, is conceived as a sequence of volumes that frame the landscape while carving out voids within the architecture. These voids become intimate gardens; spaces where water, art, vegetation, and light coexist to create moments of stillness and contemplation. Rather than separating interior and exterior, the house allows them to continuously shape one another. Architecture becomes a dialogue between mass and absence, enclosure and openness, movement and pause. Each garden acts as a quiet threshold, transforming the experience of the house into a gradual encounter with nature, reflection, and time.
