Where Her Steps Turn

A dark, slender form stands on a green stone plinth within a checked room. Other low forms appear at its edges, as though the space continues beyond the panel. Inspired by La Ciguapa and her backward feet, the work leaves us unsure which way its figure came—or where she will go.
